Amherst makes it possible to attend without loans... I'd give Fordham more money if they could do this...

That was my exact first thought! I don't respond to pleas for increasing alumni donor participation for the sake of increasing alumni donor participation. But this - this I can get behind with dollars. I'd love to know the economics behind this move. If Amherst can do it, then a lot of other schools can afford to as well.
