Twitter SMS issues

I'm getting this weird sms response anytime I attempt to twit.

I can receive twits, but when I try to send, I get this weird "invalid number" response that tells me that I need to sms to 10 digits or use a valid short code. If you have any idea whats going on please twitter me.

Something is up with Twitter's SMS system. Yesterday I received a reply to a message that someone had sent from their phone, and for the first time it had their phone as the return rather than saying it had come from twitter.

It's not Twitter. Some of our customers complained today as well. It's coming fromthe carrier. Do you have Sprint? Our customers had problems with a carrier called Embarq which is an offshoot of Sprint.

A message like that is from the carrier, not the service. It usually means that it's an invalid short code for that carrier.
