Better than ActiveSync?

Does anyone use anything better than ActiveSync... like... I dunno... something that works?   ActiveSync is being really difficult.  I'm trying to sync a PocketPC-6700 using Windows Mobile 5 to Win XP.... everything is in Outlook...   actually... it's just calendar and contacts.

Buy a blackberry 8700 and use the new RIM desktop software 4.2. It's great.

Better than ActiveSync? I donno buddy. I'm on the same quest and googling that question led me here.I've even tried ActiveSync 4.5 Beta2 and it's basically a slightly nicer looking ActiveSync 4.2

So this being January 2007, I did a search for best window mobile software for '06 and lo' and behold... Alternatives :-D

http://www.pocketpcmag.com/awards/nominees_wandf_2006.asp

But to be brief (or incase the link to the full awards isn't allow)

MissingSync won 06' best in syncronizing catagory... But that's no good for me because it's for Mac OS X. So I'm going to try the runner-ups. I would say I'll come back to this blog and post my findings but I never seem to remember where blogs are. (email me at guitaroo at deadnet dot net)

The runner-ups are:Intellisync from Intellisync Corporation.I went there to grab the software and I guess Nokia has purchased Intellisync Corp. Because it's all Nokia now, and it reports NOT working in M$ Vista, and finally I couldn't just "grab it".. because they wanted to grab $71.76 out of my master card in exchange.

And the other runner up,Pocket Mirror Pro from Chapura Software.

If I had to guess which on would be better ala book-by-the-cover comparision, I think Pocket Mirror's going to me my new sync software.
