MBA Valuable?

We're posting a job here that includes the following line:

"An MBA is not only not required, it is frowned upon."

Are you following me on Twitter?

Fantastically ironic, Charlie, but what does that mean?

The question is "for whom?"

Or, does an MBA (or would an MBA) make this candidate more valuable -- *to us*?

I'm also intrigued by this. Why would you want to eliminate a potentially excellent candidate just because they have an MBA? And why would it not be advantageous for me to have an MBA for prospective employers who require one that I would want to work for, while still being a potentially good candidate for Oddcast based on my skills, experience and interests despite it?

Help me understand the reasoning.

Thanks.

Doesn't that eliminate you from the running? It's funny for sure, but is it serious?
